About the Project
In my recent project, I designed a custom deck of Whot! cards, a classic card game that originated in Nigeria and is loved for its blend of strategy and chance. For this unique version, I replaced the traditional geometric symbols with funky food illustrations, adding a distinctive touch to the game. Each card features playful images and a pattern on the reverse side, making game nights a bit more unique and fresh.
The deck retains the original game rules, where players match numbers or food-themed symbols to be the first to discard their cards, providing a familiar experience with a fresh perspective. By incorporating food into the design, I aimed to enhance the visual appeal and create an engaging atmosphere that encourages players to share their thoughts about their favorite dishes. This project reflects my commitment to creating interactive designs that breathe new life into classic games, making it ideal for family gatherings, casual game nights, or as a fun icebreaker.
